We are custom fine art studio creating unique one of a kind tattoos in all styles and sizes for all kinds of people. We have worked hard to create a studio that is professional while also comfortable and inspiring. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Sanctuary is co-owned and run by artists Chris Dingwell, Jennifer Moore and Wilhelm Scherer .We are joined by two additional fulltime artists; Ryan Fleming: who joined us in 2003, and Danielle Madore our apprentice who began tattooing in March 2006. Please visit our easy to find studio (with ample parking garage across the street) at 31 Forest Avenue (formerly the nightclub Zootz) just off Congress Street next to the Portland Stage Company in the Arts District.
